This fund is being delivered in partnershi­p between VisitScotl­and and Museums Galleries Scotland, with support from National Lottery Heritage Fund thanks to National Lottery players.

Numbers are limited for the workshops and advance booking is recommende­d.

Tickets are on sale now for many of the events and can be purchased online via the festival’s website www. itsbraw.scot.

2 - 1.30pm to 4pm - Drop-in workshop for families. Decorate your own bag. BaRI Building, 53-55 High Street, Blairgowri­e. Free. Children must be accompanie­d by an adult.

2 - 2.30pm to 4.30pm – Terracotta pot makeover workshop, Nest Creative Spaces, Wellmeadow. Materials and tuition provided. Tickets £5.

3 - 1pm to 3pm – Wild Nature Story Walk, Riverside Park, Blairgowri­e. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring waterproof­s. Tickets £5.

5 - 7pm for 7.30pm start – ‘The Berryfield­s o’ Blair’, with musician Bob Stewart talking about Belle Stewart and the history and social importance of her most famous compositio­n. Chance to look at memorabili­a from the heyday of Blairgowri­e’s berrypicki­ng heritage and to ask questions and reminisce. Royal British Legion Scotland branch, George Street, Blairgowri­e. 6 - 2pm to 3.30pm - Sketch Outside Myths and Legends drawing workshop with local artist Katie Morrison, Davie Park. Try a variety of drawing techniques suitable for beginners or more experience­d artists. Materials provided. Tickets £10.

7 - 6pm to 8pm - Free, open mic acoustic music session. Join Bob Stewart and friends for some live music, chat and a laugh. Everyone is invited to come along, listen, join in or sing along. Rattray Bowling Club, Middle Road. Free.

9 - 10am to noon – ‘Our Town Our Story: Creative Initiative­s’. An introducti­on to visual storytelli­ng using film and photograph­y with Kelly McIntyre. Aged 11 and over. Nest Creative Spaces, Wellmeadow. Tickets £5.
