Litterpickers put in bags of effort

-

There was a good turnout for the community litter pick in Blairgowrie and Rattray on Sunday.

Volunteers were able to cover a large area of the town and collected 29 bags of litter.

Organisers thanked everyone who turned up to help, and in particular William Wilson and Gary Morgan for taking the bags to the skip.

The litter pick took place just days before judges from Beautiful Scotland arrive in the town as part of the annual Britain in Bloom competition.

The judges will be visiting Blairgowrie and Rattray on Wednesday afternoon this week.

The community litter picks take place on the first Sunday of each month, weather permitting.

To join in, volunteers should meet at the Wellmeadow at 10am to collect litter pickers and bags.
