Burrelton Rovers and Kettins joined forces to contest the first Jimmy Lindsay Memorial Trophy at Recreation Park recently.
Jimmy, who sadly passed away last year, was a stalwart of both clubs and remained a regular and loyal supporter at matches. Kettins won the match 6-2 through doubles from Jimis Fleming, Cammy Wheatley and Jez Bailey.
After the full-time whistle, players, committee members and fans of both teams gathered for a barbecue and drinks to reminisce about a man close to their hearts.
The Jimmy Lindsay Memorial Trophy will now be an annual match between the teams.
The inaugural tie was held a week before the start of the new Amateur football season, which kicked-off on Saturday.
