A recent work party of volunteers continued good work started the previous week on Tam Stewart’s path.

Some of the party continued down the Balmoral Road steps to Keithbank.

They were strimming, lopping, hoeing, raking, blowing away leaves and gathering all the cut vegetation into a large gravel bag, which was taken to the recycling centre.

Ian Cruikshank, Derek Balloch, John Edwards Rab Middleton, Doug Muir, Helen Stanghon, new member Helen Caswell and Brian Campbell took part.

The first meeting of the new session starts at 2pm on Tuesday, September 6, in the Kinloch Hall off Blairgowrie’s Dunkeld Road.

New faces are always welcome and can enjoy a chance to make new friends, enjoy the speakers and have a nice cuppa and home baking.

The speaker for the September meeting will be James Lochead, who will deliver an illustrated talk on Glenn Miller titled ‘The Man, the Myth and the Legend’.
