HOME INDUSTRIES
A perennial highlight of any Strathardle Highland Gathering is the skill on show inside the Home Industries tent.
There was a wonderful show of baking, garden produce, handcrafts, and impressive entries in the children’s section.
There were also lots of mouthwatering desserts and sweets, using both traditional and more contemporary recipes.
The judge in the cookery classes was Kathleen Fraser, while Morag MacGillivray decided the top placings in handcrafts.
Elsewhere, Arthur Lawrence judged the gardening entries and Mark NewtonCarter decided the winner of the Hobby Prize.
The Jubilee Rosebowl was won by Diana Alexander, of the Pottery House in Glenshee, with a mirror-glazed chocolate cake.
