Attacker told to be at court for sentence
A sheriff has told a solicitor representing a man who assaulted a woman at an address in Rattray he expects him to attend court next month for sentencing.
Perth solicitor Paul Ralph told the city’s sheriff court Colby Graham’s attendance had been excused on the most recent occasion his case was called.
He added a criminal justice social work report had still to be prepared on Graham, who according to court papers is currently staying on a housing estate in east London.
Sheriff David Hall deferred sentencing the 26 year-old for a month to allow the report to be prepared but told Mr Ralph he expected to see his client in court the next time the case is called.
Graham previously admitted assaulting the woman at a property in Rattray’s Glenshee Drive on July 31 last year by pushing her to the ground and restraining her, seizing her by her hair, repeatedly striking her head against the ground and punching her on the head, all to her injury.
He is now scheduled to appear in court in person on October 12.
