-

Blairgowrie-based police officers have reported that a number of incidents have taken place in the town over the last few weeks.

In a report submitted to Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Council, officers said that enquiries are ongoing into damage done to two vehicles in Union Street over the weekend of Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14.

On the evening of Saturday, September 3, the windows of two shops in the Wellmeadow were smashed and vehicles on Croft Court and Emma Street were damaged. It is believed that these incidents are linked and officers are pursuing lines of enquiry.

Meanwhile, two people have been charged in relation to an assault which took place near to the Wellmeadow on Saturday, September 3.

Officers also said that they have received several calls over recent weeks regarding youths entering the unoccupied Rosemount Care Home, off Perth Road, and that they are liaising with Community Wardens and the owners of the premises to increase patrols and improve the security of the building to prevent this.
