Fuel blow but BRAN path efforts continue

-

Sunday saw five Blairgowrie and Rattray Access Network volunteers head out on the Alyth Road and up to the holiday cottage at Chapelton Farm.

The site was chosen mainly to tackle the lower part of the path from St Fink to the Halfway House.

Derek Balloch utilised the group’s mower, while Doug Muir used loppers to give the top path a once-over .

Carol MacGregor and Helen Stanghon also set off with loppers as well as shears, starting at the Alyth Road end of the path.

Meanwhile, using a strimmer, Brian Campbell started down the lower path after a pit stop to reline and refuel only to be overtaken by Derek on the mower going right down to the main road and back up to holiday cottage.

A group spokesperson explained there was dismay when it was discovered that the fuel can for the strimmer appeared to have been stolen during the course of the weekend work party.
