Blairgowrie Juniors returned from Scone Thistle with a valuable three points following a 1-0 Midlands League win on Saturday.

The visitors were determined to get a result and showed their determination during a great first-half performance.

Paul Scott hit the post with a header and Gary Axworthy also hit the woodwork as Mark Brash’s side dominated.

Blair took the lead just before half-time through a fantastic curling effort by Axworthy.

Scone came more into the game in the second half but Blair managed to keep a clean sheet and hang on for the win.

Blair are at home to Broughty Athletic in the league on Saturday.

Berrypickers’ lottery numbers for September 26 were 1, 7, 19 and 20.

Elsewhere, Coupar Angus JFC won 4-1 against Forfar Utd at home on Saturday.

Their next league action is scheduled for October 15 at home to Dundee Downfield.

Both kick-off are at 2.30pm.
