Volunteers give some TLC to Craighall loop
Volunteers with the Blairgowrie and Rattray Access Network (BRAN) tackled the Craighall loop during the group’s most recent work party.
Four group members focused on the section from the car parking area up to the bailey bridge on what was once a section of the A93.
Volunteers used a strimmer, lopper and Alasdair Shaw had the chance to try out the new battery hedge trimmer. The group also removed the tree branch that was over the path just past the bailey bridge.
Plans are in place to return to the area in future to tackle the rest of the path and the higher one from the Mains of Mause farm road.
A BRAN spokesperson said: “There were a lot of walkers who praised the hardy BRAN volunteers for the work that they do, and we may have a new volunteer. Well done to the most recent team – Alasdair Shaw, David Strachan, Carol McGregor and Brian Campbell.”
BRAN is to be represented at the upcoming showcase event on Sunday this week in Blairgowrie Town Hall.
It is to run from 2pm to 4pm and has been organised by Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust.
