Juniors paythe penalty incup

Blairgowri­e exited the Quest Engineerin­g Cup on Saturday.

The east Perthshire side hosted Broughty Athletic at home on the Davie Park astroturf.

The visitors from Dundee opened the scoring after just three minutes but Cammy McManus soon levelled to make it 1-1.

That is how the score remained for the rest of the game and penalties were required to determine a winner.

Broughty Athletic advanced thanks to a 4-2 triumph from the spot.

Blairgowri­e are away to Lochee Harp in the league on Saturday.

The October 3 berrypicke­rs lottery weigh-in numbers were 3, 5, 13 and 18.

Elsewhere, Coupar Angus were without a game on Saturday.

They are due to play Dundee Downfield on Saturday this week.

Both weekend league matches kick-off at 2.30pm.
