Game trust’s arts contest

-

There is still time for youngsters in east Perthshire and beyond to enter the popular annual Game and Wildlife ConservationTrust (GWCT) Schools’Art Competition.

This year’s competition theme is to create an original piece of art showing the entrant’s favourite species of British game or wildlife in its natural habitat.

Entries can be in any medium and creativity is encouraged.

A photograph of the artwork should be sent to the relevant email address by the October 28 deadline.

Organisers say 25 winning artists will be selected from the area and they and their parents will be invited to a day of rural activities, including lunch at Perthshire’s renowned Fingask Castle.

They will also be presented with individual prizes and certificates including farm visits for their whole class and more.

Iona Laing, organiser of the competition for the GWCT, said:“We are always impressed by the quality of the entries for this annual event and we hope that this year will be no exception.

“We have some fabulous prizes to be won, including the day out at Fingask Castle.

“We are really looking forward once again to judging some amazing pieces of work.”

To enter send an email to Perthartcomp@gwct. org.uk.
