Blair rivals take home the spoils
There was Friday night football under the lights at Davie Park as Blairgowrie Juniors played host to local rivals Coupar Angus.
And it was visiting Coupar who would leave with the bragging rights after recording a memorable 4-1 Midlands League win.
The Foxhall Park side opened the scoring not long after the half-hour mark through Lee Roeleveld but Matty Adam had Mark Brash’s men level on 55 minutes.
But Coupar would run out winners courtesy of Dom Blair’s double and a good finish from Kieron Dolan.
Blairgowrie are away to Dundee Downfield in the league on Saturday.
Coupar, meanwhile, are due to play Lochee Harp at home in the Quest Engineering Cup.
Both ties are due to kick-off at 2.30pm.
• The Blairgowrie JFC berrypickers’weigh-in lottery numbers for October 17 were 9, 11, 13 and 20.
There were no winners.
