Victorious Kettins gear up for cup

-

Kettins recorded a welcome 3-2 win over Burrelton Rovers on Saturday.

Burrelton took the lead after a couple of minutes with an effort that gave Aidan Donachie no chance in the Kettins goal.

The Lindsay Park hosts levelled things up when Rudi Brown showed some brilliant footwork as he beat a couple of defenders and rifled the ball home.

Rovers took the lead for the second time only three minutes later.

However, Kettins restored parity when Brown smashed home a 25-yard effort which found the back of the net via the crossbar.

With just under 15 minutes left, Kettins got what turned out to be the winner when Drew Madoc-Jones finished well from eight yards after good work in the build up by Jimis Fleming.

Kettins visit reigning CSAFL champions St Patrick’s FP AFC in the third round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Burrelton are also on Scottish Cup duty at the weekend away against Inverclyde.

Other local results on Saturday were:

Saturday’s local fixtures are: Abernethy v Wolfhill; Rattray v Breadalbane; St Johns v Kinrossie; Stanley v Balmoral.
