Juniors are put to the sword by Vics

There was disappointment for Blairgowrie Juniors on Saturday following a 5-1 defeat away at Arbroath Vics.

The visitors took the lead early on but the hosts levelled shortly after the half-hour mark.

Vics took the lead 10 minutes after the break and scored a further three times before the final whistle.

Blairgowrie are due to play Tayport in the Midlands League on Saturday this week.

The match is listed as kicking off at 2.30pm at Davie Park.

Meanwhile, the October 31 berrypickers’weigh-in lottery numbers were 1, 4, 5 and 10.

There were no winners and the jackpot for the draw on Monday this week was £450.

Elsewhere, Coupar Angus Juniors drew 2-2 with Brechin Vics on Saturday.

Coupar are away to Broughty Athletic on November 12.
