Boys work for victory
Rattray progressed in the North of Tay Cup with a 4-2 win over East End Thistle on Saturday.
A hat-trick by Dee-Jay Tolmie and a further goal by Colin Fraser helped to ensure that Marc McFadden’s men booked a place in the next round.
Afterwards, McFadden said: “The boys had to work for this win.
“It was good to see a few things in training helping on the park.”
Elsewhere, Kettins were knocked out of the same competition after failing to get going against a well-organised Bridge of Earn, who progress after a 3-0 triumph.
In the league, a goal by Gary Dobbin helped Alyth to a 1-0 Division One win over Luncarty.
Other local matches were called off either because of the opposition withdrawing or waterlogged pitches.
