Rattray Bowling Club would like to thank all new and returning members for their attendance at the open day on Saturday, April 13.
There was a great turnout and it was good to see the club busy.
The sun eventually appeared and we all got on the green – which was nearly full.
There were refreshments afterwards, with homemade soup and a pie for all who were there.
The club stayed busy for a good few hours later and everyone appeared to have a lovely day.
New members are still welcome and application forms can be found at the bar, which is now open daily from 6pm and 1pm at the weekends.
There will be a “hat night” on Fridays from 6pm for all of blairgowrieadvertiser.co.uk.
Make sure you include your name, address and some information about your image. those who wish to play. This is a great time for beginners to learn the game.
Coaching will also be available at this time to those who want it, but it is not compulsory.
Once again, a huge thank you to all who supported us on our opening.
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Karen, secretary, Rattray Bowling Club

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Perth for organising another successful Perthshire Classic Car Tour, which this year raised funds for MS Society Scotland along with other
excellent charities.
More than 15,000 people in Scotland live with multiple sclerosis (MS).
It is a condition that affects the brain and spinal cord and it impacts how people move, think and feel.
MS Society Scotland offers support, information and opportunities for people affected by MS.
Our supporters and fundraisers, like the Rotary Club of Perth and everyone involved in the Perthshire Classic Car Tour, play an important role in this work.
We are very grateful for their support.
Morna Simpkins, MS Society Scotland

On Friday, the
Blairgowrie and Rattray Access Network (BRAN) work party focused on Tam Stewart’s steps and the Keithbank Mill steps.
Volunteers were strimming, lopping, scraping, picking up litter, brushing and blowing leaves from the steps from Victoria Street up to Hatton Road.
Meanwhile Keith Reid and Brian Ruffhead did the steps from Balmoral Road down to Keithbank Mill, lopping and picking up litter along the way.
All of this left both the paths and the steps looking good and safe for all who use them.
Those on the work party included Keith Reid, Brian Ruffhead, Derek Balloch, David Strachan, Helen Stanghon, Rab Middleton, Myles Rice and Brian Campbell.
Well done team BRAN. Catherine Robertson, BRAN
