Yonaguni Spa in Obernai

An Authentic Luxury Well being, this is where the journey begins...

-

It is a unique invitation to travel that is proposed by the Wucher family, owner of the Parc Hotel in Obernai, on the famous and bucolic Alsatian wine route. Far from the traditional architecture that adorn the facades of the 4* hotel, we set sail for Japan and its tropical southern waters. The journey is as promising as it is intriguing: destination the Yonaguni Spa, a breathtaking 2500m2 complex recently opened. Composed of exceptional bathing spaces, the spa takes us into

a maze of 10 surprising sensory universes combining water corridors, submerged rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, and punctuated by more than 100 aquatic attractions. The whole is surrounded by wellness and relaxation areas: hanging beds, secret alcoves, a masterful firepit in the middle of the mezzanine... Not forgetting the restaurant, Yuzu Bar, which blends inventive and subtle cuisine with exotic flavors to nourish the body after having cared the spirit. The Wucher are modern explorers, and in particular Maxime, a great diving enthusiast, who draws his inspiration from his experiences around the world. These same inspirations came naturally to nourish this spectacular project, completed after 3 years of work and an investment of some 11 million euros.

An underwater relic as a source of inspiration

Dive into the abyss of Japanese mythology: in the southeast of Japan, the Ryükyü archipelago unrolls its string of islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is in this zone of strong currents that Yonaguni is located, a piece

of land surrounded by water. It shelters there in particular a mysterious underwater construction by 30 of bottom; this impressive structure made up of steps and terraces ordered geometrically strangely recalls an immersed pyramid. This megalith would have been shaped by man several thousands of years ago so much the inscriptions engraved in the stone tell the beliefs of a disappeared civilization, stemming from the mythical disappeared continent Mu, also known under the name of «the Atlantis of the Pacific». Carved in stone, flooded with water, the Yonaguni Spa Obernai celebrates the meeting of the 2 elements as a subtle balance between body and mind. Bathing is reinvented as an initiation in its own right. To the

rhythm of the discoveries, the soul is soothed and the imagination is unbridled. Yonaguni Spa Obernai is a new sensory experience, lived in a gradual and intimate way, as an invitation to discovery and curiosity.
