Seoul Open cancelled

In a blow to the nascent Indoor World Series, the Seoul Open event, due to take place 21-22 December 2018, was withdrawn from the official series schedule at the last minute. Unfortunately, the organisers had failed to attract enough international archers to the event and were unable to guarantee the prize money, forcing World Archery to pull the official plug. A smaller, unofficial event still took place, although dozens of archers were left out of pocket due to booked flights. It is thought that the timing and expense of the event, just a few days before Christmas, put many archers off against a background of large attendances at several of the other open indoor events.
