WINTER BLUES? NOT YET

- John Stanley, Editor john.stanley@futurenet.com

Hello and welcome to the second Bow International of the year!

We've got some cracking articles for you this month, covering fitness with the bow, head alignment with Naomi Folkard, plus reports from the Nimes tournament, and, of course, Vegas, with a special report from the barebow side of things. We've also got a new series from Tom Hall and Emma Davis on building an archery library, and a historical take on bracers from archery expert Hugh Soar, who hasn't been seen around here for a while. Plus, you can win an Axcel Achieve XP in our competition - perhaps the finest recurve sight in the world, and one of a sequence of serious prizes we have lined up this year.

Bow has actually been to the USA twice in a month; we also went along to the ATA in Kentucky, the biggest archery trade show anywhere and a place to meet many of our advertisers. We spent a lot of time and a lot of shoe leather looking for new products from anybody and everybody and pulled the best ones for your edification. Then we were back out sharpish to Las Vegas for the big indoor dance of the year, which didn't disappoint, and manned the first ever Bow International trade show booth.

As the indoor season draws to a close, you're probably thinking about moving back outdoors sometime fairly soon - depending on where you are, of course, assuming you haven't got two feet of snow on the ground. We're preparing some outdoor stuff right now. And please, send in some more questions for Ask The Experts. We like good questions, and good answers, here at Bow Towers.

See you on the shooting line.
