Spanish archer offers up to €20,000 for COVID-19 relief
Spanish archer Ignacio Gomez Sancha has pledged up to 20,000 euros to those who have been left without a house or food due to the COVID-19 outbreak, as long as he receives a thousand videos of people practising in their own homes.
“I am doing this to convey motivation so that everybody can see how many people are still training at home,” he said. “We need a thousand videos and have approximately five hundred so far.”
Ignacio, a lawyer, won gold in the 40+ age group in the Field competition at the 2018 World Archery Masters Championships in Lausanne, and has many national titles.
Archers can submit videos by contacting Ignacio on social media. Many famous international names have taken part so far. You can contact Ignacio, see who has been involved, and submit through his Instagram page: https://www.instagram. com/ignaciogsancha
Note: Bow recommends you practice at home only with exceptional attention to safety considerations.
