BEV DETOEUF 1955 2020

Bow remembers archer and coach Bev Detoeuf, who passed away suddenly on the 13th of August 2020.

Bev started shooting in 1968 and had a successful junior and senior career at county, regional and national level. In 1975 she competed in the first ever Junior International event in Europe.

She qualified as a Level 3 county coach in 2015 and worked with the archers on the National Talent Development programme for recurve archers under 20. She also worked with the Northern Academy at Bishop Burton and with several other clubs and groups, and was an AGB Director between July 2008 and June 2009.

Bev was passionate about getting people from underrepresented groups involved in the sport, and worked as part of the coaching team of Arrowhawks Academy, which is the Northern section of the National Talent Development Scheme. She was also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Archery Foundation.

Bow sends its sympathies and condolences to her family and the many archers, friends and colleagues who will mourn her passing.
