ARCHER'S TOOLBOX LAUNCH A SUCCESS

-

The launch of new archery app, Archer’s Toolbox, a ‘one-stop shop’ for archers, clubs, counties and regions has proved a big hit - gaining hundreds of new users in just a fe w days.

The app, which is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play, is set to boost the return of archery in the UK by digitising the submission process of scores, potentially saving clubs hundreds of pounds each year in printing costs.

Dave Leader, from UK retailer and training centre Aim4sport, the company behind the app said: “I’m so excited that Archer’s Toolbox is live as it’s been a journey that started almost five years ago, when I set out on a mission to produce an app that was better than the one that I was originally using.”

Dave, who is a Senior Coach and Archery GB Coach Developer, teamed up with Garry

Partington, the County Coaching Organiser at Lancashire Archery Association and CEO of app development agency Apadmi, to build Archer’s Toolbox.

“We know how tough this second lockdown has been for everyone involved in archery and we’re hoping that by giving clubs this free tool, they can recoup some of the money that they may have lost this season - and also offer a new way forward when the sport restarts.”

The initial launch includes a free online portal for clubs and record officers to view submitted scores in-club and an app for archers to download for entering and submitting scores as well as checking round stats. New features are being released every two to four weeks with updates shared on Facebook and Twitter: @ archerstb and Instagram: @archer_tb
