COMMONWEALTH EVENT TO MOVE?

The Commonwealth Games 2022, due to be held in Birmingham UK in Summer 2022, will feature an associated archery and shooting competition to be held in India. [see Bows passim]

The Commonwealth Archery test event is planned to be held in Delhi in December. Currently, the venue is Chandigarh but the Archery Association of Indian has already written to the Indian Olympic Association, requesting them to shift the venue from the Punjab to the national capital, primarily due to the readiness and availability of infrastructure.

Chandigarh is a modern regional capital 162 miles north of the Indian capital Delhi.
