WORLD ARCHERY YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
What is it?
The World Youth Archery Championships, is held in alternate years since 1991, each time in a different host city, usually the same years as the senior world championships. Since 2002, there have been cadet (under 17) and junior (under 20) categories using recurve and compound bows.
Can I join in?
Nope, sorry. Unless you are sent by your national federation. Time to get practising.
Tell me something
The very first championships was held in 1991 in Sandefjord, Norway, with the individual titles won by USA Olympic legends Vic Wunderle (age just 15) and Denise Parker. Wunderle went on to win again in 1994.
