DANIELLE BROWN LAUNCHES 2ND BOOK

Double Paralympic gold medallist and multiple world champion Danielle Brown MBE has written a book called Run Like A Girl, filled with inspirational stories about women in sport.

Subtitled 50 Extraordinary And Inspiring Sportswomen, it is her second book and aimed at seven- to 12-year-olds. “Although I ended up in sport, my original goal was to be a writer,” she said. “There are so many amazing athletes out there doing incredible things, and their stories fly under the radar a lot of the time.

“The other reason was to challenge that negative stereotype – ‘run like a girl’ – because so many women are achieving amazing things, and it shouldn’t be seen as a insult but a positive.”
