Jordan returns to Double Jab with a win, writes Daniel Herbert
ON the same day (May 5) Tony Bellew-david Haye rematch was happening a few miles away at the O2, there was a grass roots alternative at the Double Jab open show at the Wheelshunters Social Club in Peckham. Some 13 bouts entertained fans, topped by two host club welterweights. Emmanuel

Mcintosh but the latter pressed throughout and landed the better punches, although his win came only via split decision. Mcintosh started the season with Double Jab, spent a few months with Repton, and has
now rejoined the Peckham outfit.
In an exciting battle Lansbury’s big-hitting Rahat Uddin survived a fast start by Andrei Santa to drop the Selby boxer heavily in round two and finish stronger for a split, but deserved, verdict. Another Selby entry, Wasu Oluwikaman, shared a wildly entertaining novice middleweight battle with Croydon’s Josh Copeland, who floored him in the second en route to a unanimous
win. These two slammed away nonstop, much to the punters’ delight.
In other senior action, the hosts’ 57kgs Chijoke Amechi was edged out by Adem Bencheman (Stonebridge) while heavyweight clubmate Kevin Morgan wore down Ruben Brown-calley.
