WHO IS THE BEST FIGHTER TO HAVE EMERGED FROM BRENDAN INGLE’S WINCOBANK STABLE?
Ryan Walsh
British feather champion
For all round accomplishments it must be the ‘The Prince’. Naz did more for the ‘Ingle style’, thanks to all those knockouts, than any fighter. Herol Graham was the first and I believe Ryan Rhodes started the flip, but Naz took their styles and gimmicks to another level.
Mickey Helliet
British promoter
Naseem Hamed has to be the best. He had a legitimate claim to being the best featherweight in the world. I remember seeing Naz in the schoolboys and telling anyone that would listen that he was going to be the biggest star in boxing.
Michael Conlan
Featherweight prospect
It will probably be the common choice for a lot of people, but it has to be Naz. He was one of the reasons I fell in love with boxing, I loved his showmanship and explosive unorthodox style of boxing. He was a real entertainer.
Gareth A. Davies
Telegraph journalist
Naseem Hamed for me, and that’s based on the lasting impact he had on the public, his sojourn to the USA, and his polarising and unique style. Having been on parts of that journey to the USA with Hamed and Ingle, he really did bring special qualities to the sport.
