1. FLOYD PAT­TER­SON & TRACY HAR­RI­SON PAT­TER­SON

Floyd Pat­ter­son, the for­mer world heavy­weight cham­pion, adopted Tracy Har­ris when he was 14 years of age. He be­came WBC su­per-ban­tamweight cham­pion in 1992.

2. JULIO CE­SAR CHAVEZ & JULIO CE­SAR CHAVEZ JNR

One of the great­est fight­ers of all time, Julio Ce­sar Chavez se­cured mul­ti­ple world ti­tles in three weight di­vi­sions and won 87 fights in a row. Chavez Jnr, on the other hand, was a WBC cham­pion at mid­dleweight.

3. LEON SPINKS & CORY SPINKS

In 1978, Leon Spinks, hav­ing only his eighth pro fight, de­feated Muham­mad Ali to win the world heavy­weight cham­pi­onship. Twenty-five years later, his son, Cory, be­came a world cham­pion at wel­ter­weight and then re­peated the trick at su­per-wel­ter­weight.

4. GUTY ESPADAS & GUTY ESPADAS JNR

The sec­ond fa­ther-son combo to win world ti­tles, and the first duo who were blood-re­lated, Guty Snr won the WBA fly­weight ti­tle in 1976, while Guty Jr won a WBC ti­tle at feather­weight in 2000.

5. WIL­FREDO VASQUEZ & WIL­FREDO VASQUEZ JNR

A Puerto Ri­can le­gend, Wil­fredo Vasquez won world ti­tles as a ban­tamweight, su­per-ban­tamweight and feather­weight. His son didn’t quite scale the same heights but still man­aged to claim a WBO su­per­ban­tamweight ti­tle in 2010.

6. FLOYD MAY­WEATHER & FLOYD MAY­WEATHER JNR

Floyd May­weather never boxed for a world ti­tle but was good enough to share a ring with Ray Leonard and Mar­lon Star­ling. His son is the rich­est fighter in the sport’s his­tory and ar­guably one of its most gifted.

7. WIL­LIAM DOU­GLAS & JAMES ‘BUSTER’ DOU­GLAS

Buster Dou­glas is best-known for shock­ing the world and up­set­ting Mike Tyson in 1990. His fa­ther, Wil­liam, com­peted against the likes of Vic­tor Galin­dez, Matthew Saad Muham­mad, Marvin John­son and Ben­nie Briscoe.

8. CHRIS EUBANK & CHRIS EUBANK JNR

Chris Eubank is a Bri­tish le­gend and won WBO ti­tles at mid­dle and su­per-mid­dle. His son re­mains a con­tender at 168lbs af­ter some solid form in the di­vi­sion be­low.

9. JOE FRAZIER & MARVIS FRAZIER

Joe Frazier paved the way for Marvis, a heavy­weight fringe con­tender most fa­mous for be­ing knocked out in­side a round by Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson.

10. TONY MUN­DINE & AN­THONY MUN­DINE

Tony Mun­dine held the Com­mon­wealth mid­dleweight and light-heavy­weight ti­tles and chal­lenged Carlos Mon­zon in 1974 for the world mid­dleweight ti­tle. An­thony Mun­dine, how­ever, lifted the WBA su­per­mid­dleweight ti­tle in 2003.
