There are key competitions taking place in the UK this week
THIS week key tournaments are taking place across the country. On Thursday (December 6) the GB championships take place in Sheffield. 10 bouts put the winners of this year’s Elite Three Nations against a GB boxer. Any of the challengers who defeat a GB boxer win glory and a trial with the Olympic squad.

OVER the weekend, from December 8-9, England Boxing hold the inaugural Women’s Winter Box Cup, which takes place at the George H Carnall Centre, Urmston, Manchester (M41 7FJ). The event has attracted more than 180 women and girls of varying ages and abilities to box across 18 divisions.
It is designed to inspire more women and girls to take an interest in boxing, while simultaneously giving those who have entered an extra opportunity to compete domestically. Boxing starts at 11am on each day.
