New champions crowned at the NABGCS
THE National Association of Boys & Girls Clubs championships have concluded, with a host of new titlists crowned.
The Class A, B and C finals were held in Bridlington on December 1 and the Class D finals took place at The Monastery in Manchester on November 29.
Jewellery Quarter’s Delicious Orie continued a good year as he won the Class D super-heavyweight division, beating Repton’s Mehran Khan in their final.
Earlsfield light-heavyweight
Omar Augustine picked up a title as he met Triumph’s Aaron Bowen in their Class D final, outpointing him on a split decision. Triumph however did enjoy a good result as their Bradley Goldsmith beat Fairbairn’s strong middleweight
Joshua Gustave to take Class D gold and his first national title.
Christ The King’s Huey Malone, who caught the eye on his way through the semi-finals, completed the job winning the championship as he overcame Powerday Hooks’
