HOW MUCH OF A CHANCE DO YOU GIVE ROCKY FIELDING AGAINST CANELO THIS WEEKEND?
Wayne Alexander
Ex-british and EBU champ
If I’m being realistic, Fielding’s chances are slim. The simple facts are that Canelo Alvarez is an elite world champion and a future Hall of Famer, while Rocky Fielding is just a decent domestic-level champion. But who wouldn’t take this opportunity? I wish Rocky all the best.
Harvey Horn
Super-flyweight prospect
I’m really struggling to see a way Fielding beats Canelo. He’s just too strong and has been fighting worldclass opposition for much longer. Canelo by KO mid rounds for me.
Chris Mckenna
Boxing journalist
There is always a chance. Fielding is the huge outsider, understandably. He must start fast and hope to catch Alvarez early to test the Mexican’s chin at the higher weight. The longer the fight goes on, though, hope of an upset will dwindle as Alvarez will take control and will be landing regularly.
Isaac Lowe
Featherweight contender
He’s the naturally bigger man. He has a puncher’s chance and one punch can change everything. He has to stick to the game plan, listen to Jamie Moore, and give it everything he’s got. He’s fighting one of the world’s best, but you have to take these sorts of chances.
