Troy Jones performs on a Solihull show featuring Birmingham’s busy clubs

SOLIHULL ABC staged their second show of the season at the Ivy Leaf social club, on a Sunday afternoon (November 25) for the first time. A large crowd supported a show that had plenty of close verdicts and was a big success.

Troy Jones (Solihull) got the vote of all three judges after beating the very game Keith Bryan (Mikey’s) in a pulsating contest. Troy had to be had his very best to keep the much shorter Bryan at bay. The contest, made at 63kgs, was the last bout on the card and a great way to end the show.

Another two bouts that produced plenty of skilful boxing were K. Thompson’s (Solihull) split win over the well coached M. Khalid (Birmingham City) and Chris Green’s (Solhull) unanimous win over W. Adams (Wildstar), both of whom look to have a bright future in amateur boxing.
