CALLUM ON BIVOL AND GOLOVKIN
Smith discusses some interesting options
“I’VE always said there’s a lot I want to achieve at super-middle before moving up. But now I’m a world champion it’s probably more likely I’ll try to move up and become a two-weight world champion when the time’s right. “[Russia’s Dmitry Bivol is the WBA’S lightheavyweight world champion and] the Bivol rematch would be good, we had a good fight in the amateurs. “There’s a lot of middleweights who could move up and I could move up eventually.
“[Gennady Golovkin,] he’s a massive name and I’m sure financially it would be good. A win over him is still a massive win. Even though he’s just lost a lot of people didn’t think he did and it was a good fight. He had two very high-profile fights with Canelo so I’d go as far as saying I think he’s still the biggest name possible for me to fight, a bigger name than any of the lightheavyweights or super-middleweights.”
