The 34-year-old came from nowhere to win a world title in her Chicago hometown when she beat Erica Anabella Farias. Mccaskill has only had eight pro contests, two of which she lost. She was brave but outgunned a year before when she met Katie Taylor in 2017. But in October she stepped up in weight, boxing at super-lightweight for the first time and was matched against experienced, 28-fight veteran Farias. But Mccaskill was inspired and won a unanimous decision and the WBC super-lightweight title.
