‘MY STRENGTHS ARE THAT I HAVE SPEED AND I CAN BOX OR FIGHT. MY WEAKNESS IS CHOCOLATE!’ Felix Cash

When and why you started boxing:

Growing up, my whole family boxed, including my older brothers, Paddy and Miley. I got into the sport when I was nine years old at Bracknell Boys Club, before moving on to Pinewood Starr ABC, then Guildford City Boxing Club.

Favourite all-time fighter:

Joe Calzaghe has been a great inspiration. However, it’s difficult to name a particular fighter as my favourite, because each decade produces such phenomenal talent.

Best fight you’ve seen:

I’ve seen an array of fantastic fights, both live and on TV. If I could’ve been ringside at any fight, it’d be Arturo Gatti-micky Ward I.

Personal career highlight:

As an amateur, it’d be winning medals for the GB Boxing team and being recognised for my hard work and commitment. As a pro, I’m a work in progress, so watch this space.

Toughest opponent:

I’ve been involved in a number of tough fights and spars. It’s hard to pick out a specific one.

Best and worst attributes as a boxer:

My strengths are that I have speed and I can box or fight. I’d say my weakness is chocolate!

Training tip:

Train hard and always try to take something away from each session.

Favourite meal/restaurant:

Italian food is generally my favourite, but I really like eating at ROKA in London, which is a Japanese restaurant.

Best friends in boxing:

I’ve met so many people through boxing over the years. It’s too hard trying to list just a few individuals.

‘IF ELVIS EVER RODE INTO THE ROOM ON SHERGAR, I THINK I’D ASK FOR A SELFIE!’

Other sportsman you would like to be:

A professional footballer. I’m a Reading supporter, so I’d love to play for them.

Last film/tv show you saw:

I’m currently watching Luther,

the BBC series.

Who would play you in a film of your life:

I’d pick Tom Hardy.

Have you ever been starstruck:

No, but if Elvis ever rode into the room on Shergar, I think I’d ask for a selfie!

Last time you cried:

Last night, when I was craving chocolate! I can’t have it because I’m in camp.

Best advice received:

If you’re going to do something, do it properly, otherwise don’t do it at all.

Worst rumour about yourself:

I haven’t heard a bad one yet.

Something not many people know about you:

I’ve got three dogs and I’m planning on getting a fourth.
