BRISTOL’S Aaron Sutton claimed the vacant Southern Area middleweight strap when forcing Chatham’s Danny Shannon to turn away after 1-48 of the fourth on a Neilsonpromoted card at Swindon’s MECA.

Sutton gave the Kent man a torrid three minutes in the third. Danny finished with a bloody nose and a ballooning right eye.

He came out for the fourth, but when Sutton placed yet another nasty body shot downstairs, he turned away and third man Reece Carter timed his intervention well.

Stroud’s Max Mudway headlined the evening and knocked out Greek visitor

Theodoris Ritzakis with a superbly-timed right hand at 2-05 of the opener of a mooted eight-threes. Mudway rushed a little before beating his man to the punch to find the brutal finisher. Ritzakis tried to rise, but his legs gave out, Chris Jones waving the affair off.

Bristol’s Anton Haskins floored Worcester’s

Michael Mooney in the first before taking a 40-34 four-threes decision on Jones’ card.

Witney’s Bradley Townsend scored a shut-out win over Southampton-based

Evgenii Vazim over six threes on Jones’ tally.

Calne’s Connor Gray floored Rustem Fatkhullin with an arrow-straight right hand in the first before dictating affairs to take a 60-53 six-threes decision in Carter’s copybook.

Also refereed by Carter, Gloucester’s Brad Ingram took every session of a four-threes against Newark’s Fonz Alexander. Swindon switch-hitter Lewis Roberts bagged each round of his own four-threes on Jones’ slate against Hull’s Luke Fash.

Finally, Killamarsh’s ‘Violent Vegan’ Lee Connolly upset Hereford novice Jake Price by taking a 39-38 four-threes result from Carter. Lee punished Jake’s porous defence with repeated right hands.
