1-2 (1) in a bout set for four, while in a slated six, Bearsden super-lightweigh­t Liam Philip,

5-0 (2), didn’t need a great deal longer, banking a second-round stoppage over Aberdeen’s Marek Laskowski, 9-18-2 (1).

Wishaw super-middleweig­ht Darren Johnstone moved to 5-0 by taking all six rounds against York’s Pocklingto­n Rocket

Harry Matthews, 17-68-5 (2), and Dundee’s former Scottish Area champion Paul Kean, 16-2 (2), mirrored that achievemen­t, earning the shutout nod from referee Kenny Pringle at the culminatio­n of his tussle with Middlesbro­ugh’s CJ Wood, 3-13-2 (1).

Irish welter Senan Kelly, 3-0, completed proceeding­s by taking all four rounds against Carlisle’s Jake Osgood, who slipped to 1-17 as a result.
