Degree of common sense

✒ IN all the to-ing and fro-ing over the better site for the Arena, I cannot understand why there hasn’t been an alliance between the council and Bristol University to combine their two sites, bridging over Cattle Market Road, and blending the east end of the pending university scheme with the arena, even building one over the other?

Bristol Rovers almost had a stadium on the UWE site for joint usage but that fell apart from nonplanning reasons.

So that’s a different kettle of fish, but at least it was connected thinking!
