Project promotes outdoor play

A BRISTOL primary school is taking part in an international project to promote outdoor play and pupils have just visited Poland as part of the project.

The ‘Let’s Play Outdoor Games!’ project, co-funded by EU Erasmus+ programme, is a two-year project with seven schools from different countries coming together to create a joint logo, information poster and handbook. Each country hosts a week, introducing the visitors to their country’s education system, PE and PSHE curriculum and the daily school practices followed.

Merchants’ Academy Primary at Withywood welcomed its visitors in March, and last month children and staff visited Poland. Schools involved come from Crete; Turkey; Finland; Poland; Italy and Portugal, and Bristol.
