-

IT’S all happening at Hyundai – only days after announcing prices for the latest i20 and the all-new Kona Electric, the Korean company has officially announced the pricing and specifications of the latest Santa Fe and of the diesel versions of the Kona. Latest versions of Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Santa Fe, will be in dealer showrooms from September 1, with prices starting at £33,425. As well as fresh new exterior and interior styling this latest generation Santa Fe introduces an array of new equipment, safety and powertrain features over the previous model. Power comes from an upgraded version of the company’s 2.2 CRDi “R” engine which will be available with front wheel drive or 4WD drivetrains, with either a six-speed manual or an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive models introduce HTRAC, an evolution of Hyundai’s “Torque on Demand” 4WD system, which offers the driver manual control over torque distribution. All versions will come with seven seats, roof rails, front and rear parking sensors with rear view camera, privacy glass, dual zone climate control, heated front seats, drivers’ seat height adjustment, leather steering wheel, automatic windscreen wipers, DAB radio with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and smart high beam assist. The Kona 1.6 CRDi, which is available to order with immediate effect, will cost from £19,750 and comes with a newly developed 1.6 litre engine with a state of the art exhaust gas purification system. The newcomer is available with a 115PS version of the engine with six speed manual transmission or a 136PS version allied to a seven speed dual clutch auto transmission.
