Man hurt in crash on major route
ONE man was taken to hospital following a crash on one of the main routes between Bristol and Bath.
The crash happened shortly after 7am yesterday morning on the A420 London Road at its junction with Chesley Hill, just past The Griffin Pub.
The major route between Bristol and Bath was closed in both directions for approximately two hours after reports of the incident. One car was left overturned.
Police were called to the scene and closed the road. South Western Ambulance Service also attended, scrambling a rapid response vehicle and ambulance to the scene of the incident. One man suffered minor injuries in the accident, and was then taken to Royal University Hospital, Bath, for treatment.
