Your chance to expand your horizons on internet as libraries run week of sessions

Bristol Post - - NEWS -

LIBRARIES in North Somerset will be helping residents get the most out of the internet during Get Online Week.

National Get Online Week runs from October 15 to 22 and asks people to ‘Try 1 Thing’ – to use the internet to do just one thing they would normally do in a shop or bank, in a doctor’s or chemist, or even over the phone.

Events will be held in libraries next week at which people can access free support.

Sarah Bowen, community librarian at North Somerset Council, said: “Getting the most out of the internet doesn’t have to be scary.

“Doing just one new thing online is all people need to do to get started and we have volunteers to help them do just that.”

Sessions at libraries include computer support, 50 plus internet sessions and gadget help.
