Each time a child is born

-

✒ IT is a privilege that my home is often full of young people who come and share life experiences.

They are not too proud to ask or seek advice and surprisingly they like to share the interests in my life.

My recent activity has focused upon my writing and recently they would help me to share this with them.

To make it meaningful I did not reveal the title of a poem I had written, I simply asked them the question: “Could you love this person in the poem?” They were repelled and drew back with a horrified “No”.

I then revealed the poem’s title and proved “All the impossible God can do”.

Our creator has often demonstrated the power of this through the altruistic love that has triumphed in the lives of countless unsung heroes who have lost their limbs and who were remembered with so much love and gratitude on Remembrance Day.

Could you love me Or is it impossible? I have no hair No teeth

Can’t walk

Can’t talk

Bowels uncontrolled Bladder leaks

I dribble

I can’t wash myself

I spend hours asleep

Yet I am loved with a passion Continually kissed and cuddled I’m sheltered and cared for Loved without a reason An unconditional Unquestioned love

I caused such pain to enter your life

Your life will never be the same Thus my creator shows the miracle of loving

A seemingly impossible love Each time a child is born

Oldland Common

It’s history! You can’t go back. Let the sad people do their ego-chasing elsewhere.
