Search for man after two injured

Bristol Post - - NEWS -

POLICE are looking for a man after a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were attacked in Weston-super-Mare.

Police officers were called to Alexandra Parade in the town in the early hours of Sunday. Two males had been injured and had to be treated.

A 21-year-old sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains under treatment.

Police said his injuries were not life threatening or life changing. The 17-year-old boy was also treated at the scene by paramedics

Two people have already been arrested in relation to the incident, but officers are now searching for a third across Westonsuper-Mare.

The two arrested – a man, 48 and woman, 26 – are in custody.

Detective Inspector Richard Horsfall said: “We’re at the very early stage of our investigation into this incident and are still looking establish exactly what happened.

“We have identified a third person wanted in connection with the offence through CCTV and are currently searching for him.

“While we don’t believe the man poses a risk to the public, due to the level of violence used in the incident, armed officers are assisting with this search as a precautionary measure.”
