LEAGUE leaders Lebeq United won 2-0 against Henbury at Arnell Drive, but had to withstand a fierce second-half onslaught from the home side to seal the points.

Lebeq went ahead after just 26 seconds when home keeper Cameron Tarr saved well from Elan Plummer, only to see Christian Dacosta strike home the rebound.

George Loud was twice denied an equaliser by Lebeq keeper Amin Jones, but was later forced off by injury.

Plummer missed a great chance to double Lebeq’s lead when Dacosta low cross into the six-yard box picked him out right in front of goal, but Henbury’s repreive was short-lived and the visitors made it 2-0 four minutes before the break as Plummer fired in a centre by Sheldon Sawyer.

The second half belonged to the home side, but they couldn’t find the goal they deserved, with Joe Cox seeing a 20-yard drive brilliantly saved by Jones and Jenson Manning and substitute Sam Fitzpatrick missing clear chances.

Rockleaze Rangers lost 2-1 at home to Stonehouse. Alex Kibble fired the visitors in front on 20 minutes and, after Mark Ridgeway had equalised on the hour mark, Liam Gales scored the winner with a deflected shot.

AEK Boco staged a brilliant comeback to draw 3-3 at Southmead CS Athletic after trailing 3-0.

Aysa Corrick volleyed home from 30 yards to put Southmead ahead, before goals from Adom Meron and Otis Francis looked to have settled the outcome.

Jacob Saunders cut the deficit on 50 minutes and the Boco fightback gathered momentum when South- mead’s John Henson handled on the line and was dismissed eight minutes later. The referee awarded a penalty and Saunders stepped up to make it 3-2, before Cash Vinall fired home a free-kick ten minutes from time.

Luke Garbacz scored the winner as Patchway Town beat Little Stoke 3-2. Tim O’Loughlin and Ethan Tucker twice put Little Stoke in front, but Patchway hit back with two Dan Rees strikes, before Joe Dolby set up Garbacz to score ten minutes from time.

Keiron Hutson popped up to score from a 90th-minute corner and earn Wick a 1-1 draw at Hanham Athletic.

The home side had taken the lead on 60 minutes when Jack Camm’s free-kick was headed back across goal by Sam Brown for Luke Clapp to tap in.
