JOIN THE DEBATE ON THE ISSUES OF THE DAY WITH LETTERS

✒ I AM writing with concern regarding the closure of the Galleries post office.

Everyone is very worried as so many office staff rely on it, as it is the only post office for miles around. Many people come for passports, motor insurance etc. It is always packed out, the staff are like good friends, always so helpful and very friendly. And when it is closed and moves to WHSmith, all of them are leaving.

All the staff have been here since it opened. A lot of us will be unable to go as it is very difficult to get to, especially people in wheelchairs and walkers.

It is most essential the post office stays where it is, with all the same staff as nearly everyone will be made redundant after years of service. That is why this letter is necessary and should be brought to the public’s attention.

It is most urgent and essential the Galleries post office must stay open for everyone in its present position.
