BRISTOL CITY PLAYER RATINGS
NIKI Unflappable MAENPAA and dealt - 8 with everything unbeaten until - 365 Buckley’s minutes header flashed past him, which he had no chance with. JACK HUNT - 7
Strange game up against the giant frame of Ameobi: little versus large. Did well, and his crosses looked the business throughout. A great weapon for the home side. TOMAS KALAS - 8
Centre-back put in several towering headers to clear the danger and continually mopped up at the back. ADAM WEBSTER - 8
His header clipped the crossbar after half-time, while he was imperious at cleaning up at the rear and relaunching City on to the attack. LLOYD KELLY - 5
Hooked with Bristol City 1-0 down and, in truth, was off the pace for much of the game. Culpable for the Bolton goal and squandered possession several times. Learning experience. CALLUM O’DOWDA - 7
His shooting and crossing were not at their most incisive but still offered much more with plenty of driving runs from midfield. JOSH BROWNHILL - 7
Bundles of energy, terrific technique and a threat arriving late in the box. Another decent shift for the lad from the North West. MARLON PACK - 8
Controlled things in the middle and orchestrated plenty of moves with those slide-rule passes from the centre of the pitch. JAMIE PATERSON - 6
Not a great game and his position as a starter may be under threat,
although for the Robins he did and keep put the in several ball well good ANDREAS crosses. WEIMANN - 6
Unlucky to see his effort hit the crossbar for a first goal since August and had a couple of other sights of goal. Had some joy beating his man on the flank. FAMARA DIEDHIOU - 6
Not the Senegalese striker’s day as he fluffed several chances, probably the best of which arrived just after the break after Webster had hit the crossbar. Battled hard though. SUBSTITUTIONS MATTY TAYLOR (for Paterson, 62 mins) - 9 Game-changer. Terrific low shot in at the near post, before he hooked over Webster’s header to enable Palmer to convert. KASEY PALMER (for Weimann, 61 mins) - 7
Solid, even if he did lose possession a little too easily at the end of the game. Grabbed the winning goal, though, for a dream debut. JAY DESILVA (for Kelly, 62 mins) -7
Could well oust Kelly from left-back such is his form. Great raids from the left, as per usual.
