Grass roots strength

-

✒ WHAT I most admire about the Bristol Post is its knowledge of people who matter – real people of grass roots strength.

Amanda Powell’s article on Cadbury House was of special interest. I last visited Cadbury House on January 11, 2015 and was concerned about the changes witnessed.

For years with my late husband; a wonderful man; we would take our three children to Cadburys to have an early morning swim followed by a gorgeous dinner with background music of their regular pianist.

It was there we had the privilege of meeting Elle. What a gem she was. She was Cadbury’s mainstay force. There seemed nothing she could not handle and after reading Amanda’s article it appears Elle’s repertoire is still being enhanced by expert body therapy.

It is also good to learn that Blur’s former bassist Alex James has his wonderful cheese on the menu. Blur’s music has always been a family favourite with its unique sound based on minor keys.

Perhaps they might be persuaded to become Cadbury’s resident musical performers.

Elle knows all about the music scene, having had her own performing arts school.

So thank you Bristol Post for Amanda Powell’s article.
