Schools advice over coronavirus fears

-

ADVICE on coronavirus issued to schools and nurseries in Bristol, as well as across the UK, is urging parents to continue sending their children into school.

Among the places in the city which have shared the information is The Mama Bear’s Nursery.

It also advises students and teachers to practise good hygiene through regular handwashing.

The Department for Education has confirmed the information has been sent out to all schools and nurseries across the UK.

The Department for Education has the following advice for parents and guardians.

He said: “You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your children catching the coronavirus.

“There is no reason why your children should not continue to attend their early years, school or further education setting as normal.

“We recognise that some families or children may be planning to travel to China during the forthcoming half term period. If so, please refer to the FCO’s latest travel advice.”

A UK-wide campaign has been launched to provide clear advice on how to slow the spread of coronavirus.

The Department for Education have urged children and teachers to support the campaign to promote basic hygiene practices, by regularly washing hands and always sneezing into a tissue, to stem the spread of viruses.

The government is closely monitoring the spread of coronavirus and is taking action at home and abroad.

A fourth case of coronavirus in the UK was confirmed yesterday.
